The common council met on July 27th and made changes to the budget the mayor had released on June first.
According to the mayor, a budget meeting with the city’s department heads was then scheduled where common council majority members elected not to attend.
In a statement mayor Stammel accuses common council members of making changes to the mayor’s budget in order to give pay raises only to favored department heads and not those who have shown support for the mayor.
The mayor says the changes made to the budget are ill-advised.
