A puppy is that suffered severe injuries is recovering at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Workers there say the dog shows signs of abuse.
The 10 to 14-week-old puppy arrived at the Humane Society on Thursday. Employees there named it Asha.
Schenectady police found Asha on Tuesday unable to stand on her own. Animal Control brought the dog to an emergency vet for life-saving treatment.
The Humane Society says in a Facebook post that Asha has fractures and bruises in various stages of healing – indicating abuse over time.
They say Asha is stable, but will require intensive car. Therefore, the Humane Society says the dog is not available for adoption.
