The Albany County District Attorney argues bail reform is what kept convicted sex offender Jamal Ali out of jail.
As NewsChannel 13 has been reporting, Ali this week is accused of offending again.
Ali is a Level 3 sex offender.
He was arrested again earlier this week in Watervliet, accused of luring a man with autism to his home, and sexually assaulting him.
Ali was released to the supervision of probation and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device.
NewsChannel 13 checked in with Watervliet police on Friday. They say they’re still looking to speak with any other potential victims out there.
