While substantial progress has been made towards the goal of ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic, those who are living with the disease say much more needs to be done to help erase the stigma of the illness.
Today, over 37 million people are living with HIV, but many are not open about that information.
Health advocates say coming out of that darkness and having frank discussions with friends and loved ones is important for self-care.
That’s the goal behind the new "Positively Fearless" campaign, which helps those living with HIV broach the topic with the important people in their lives.
