Halfmoon man admits to sexually abusing child

A local man will spend five years behind bars, after admitting to sexually abusing a child.

Anthony Lebrecht pleaded guilty in Schenectady County Court to first-degree sexual abuse.

He subjected a girl younger than 13 to sexual contact in May 2021.

At the time, Lebrecht was already a Level 3 sex offender.

While investigating the assault, police found that he was not living at his registered address. That landed him another one and a half to three-year sentence.
