The area business community is rallying to meet a need in Saratoga County.
The Veterans & Community Housing Coalition in Ballston Spa – whose mission is to ensure homeless veterans have safe, decent, and affordable housing – will soon be breaking ground on a first of its kind home for women veterans and their children.
Foreverly House will be the first home to take in mothers who are homeless and their kids.
It will help veteran moms and their families make a smooth transition from military to civilian life.
Initially, the home will provide two units for veteran moms and their children and the case management services mothers need.
The hope is to break ground this summer.
