After five years, a settlement agreement has been reached in Bennington in a PFOA lawsuit.
Saint-Gobain will pay a little more than $40 million to compensate property owners for PFOA contamination.
That includes $6 million for medical monitoring for those that have high levels of PFOA in their blood.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont now has to approve the settlement, and a method on how the money will be allocated.
