Gov. Hochul’s administration was hosting the first meeting of the state’s Stretch Limousine Passenger Safety Task Force on Thursday.
The committee was created after the deadly 2018 crash in Schoharie.
The task force has been directed to conduct a comprehensive review of the "safety, efficiency, and reliability," of stretch limos.
The DMV and DOT commissioners are the task force chairs and will lead the meeting.
Both agencies have received criticism from the NTSB following the Schoharie limo crash.
NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy will have a complete report about the meeting, starting Live at 4, and on WNYT.com.
