It was March Madness in Binghamton for the boys’ basketball state final four. Niskayuna senior Garrett Gillooley hit the game-winning shot to push the Silver Warriors past Greece Athena 48-47 in the Class AA semi-final. Niskayuna will face Binghamton in the championship game Friday at 6pm.
Shaker junior Bless Demand knocked down a game-tying three-pointer to force overtime against Newburgh Free Academy. The Blue Bison pulled away in the extra period 65-56. Shaker will take on Port Washington Friday at 7:45pm.
