Basketball commentator Rebecca Lobo is bringing up her comments about Albany, N.Y. again.
As the Women’s NCAA tournament in Albany aired on ESPN to a nationwide audience, Lobo said: “Good luck finding something to do in Albany.”
That sparked a lot of backlash from people in the Capital Region.
In the podcast “Sports Media with Richard Deitsch,” Lobo was asked this week about which player she would choose to start her own WNBA franchise – Caitlin Clark or Juju Watkins.
“On the record, my franchise would be located in Albany, N.Y.,” said Lobo, before continuing the discussion.
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan even offered to take Lobo on a tour of the city last year after those comments went viral.
