Kevin Huerter was back in Clifton Park on Tuesday night to see his jersey retired. The Sacramento Kings guard led the Shen Boys Basketball team to a state championship in his junior season, while playing alongside his big brother, Thomas.

The number 3 will never be worn again at Shen.

Kevin Huerter was back in Clifton Park on Tuesday night to see his jersey retired.

The Sacramento Kings guard led the Shenendehowa boys basketball team to a state championship in his junior season while playing alongside his big brother Thomas. Huerter’s family was there, and the Shen gym was packed to celebrate the former Gatorade State Player of the Year.

Huerter went on to Maryland, where he played two years before declaring for the NBA Draft, where he was selected by the Atlanta Hawks.
