MLB star Juan Soto to join the New York Mets on a 15-year, $765-million dollar deal

Per multiple reports, star outfielder Juan Soto is set to sign with the New York Mets on a 15-year, $765-million dollar contract. It’s the largest deal in professional sports history. The four-time All-Star declined a 16-year, $760 million offer made by the Yankees, after spending one year with the club.

At 26, the slugger is coming off an incredible season with a career-best 41 home runs, helping the Yankees get to the World Series where they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Soto will join National League MVP runner-up Francisco Lindor at Citi Field.
