The UAlbany football team opened its season with a dominating 34-13 win over Fordham on Saturday night at Casey Stadium. Quarterback Reese Poffenbarger was 23-40 for 253 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also added 47 yards rushing. Roy Alexander caught two of Poffenbarger’s four touchdown passes. Glens Falls grad Griffin Woodell also caught the first touchdown of his collegiate career in the first half. Anton Juncaj and AJ Simon had 3 sacks apiece to lead the defense. See highlights here.
