CEO of Albany International seeks contract extension
Phil Calderon is asking the Airport Authority board to reconsider his contract renewal.
The CEO of Albany International Airport is asking for his contract to be extended.
Phil Calderone had been informed that his contract would not be renewed when it expired in December. The Times Union is reporting that Calderone wrote a letter to the airport board asking them to reconsider that decision, outlining his accomplishments, including capital projects at the airport.
However, the board said its decision is final.
The paper had previously reported that Albany County Executive Dan McCoy sought to move into that position. However, McCoy said on Wednesday that he has no plans to take that job.
