Albany leaders meet to discuss how to reduce violence
Albany leaders came together to discuss how to reduce violence.
Faith leaders, school officials and members of law enforcement all met at the Capital Center in Albany on Tuesday morning to discuss how to reduce violence and promote safety in neighborhoods.
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan spoke about how the Crime Analysis Center is a useful tool.
“It allows us to work – not only with our partners at the state level and the federal law – but really across municipalities, because we know sometimes there is an issue in Troy that might find its way to Albany,” she said.
Crime in Albany has dropped 21% since 2013, Sheehan said.
