Twelve more ghost cars seized
Twelve more ghost cars seized for fake plates after an enforcement detail in Albany County.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office impounded 12 vehicles for having fraudulent license plates.
Police made 90 traffic stops in the city of Albany as part of its ongoing effort to crack down on stolen vehicles, fraudulent plates and vehicles with switched plates, police said.
Six people were charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and three people were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. One person was charged with criminal impersonation.
