Mass transit meeting goes off the rails

Mass transit committee of the Albany Co. Legislature meeting erupts into chaos.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- The only item on an agenda for the Albany County Legislatures Mass Transportation Committee meeting on August 28 was an update on renovations at the Albany Airport.

It quickly became clear that there was a great amount of concern for who would take over as CEO once Phil Calderone’s contract runs out in December.

There has been a lot of talk about who will fill the position of CEO since the Albany County Airport Authority said it would not renew Calderone’s contract.

Reporter Dan Levy spoke with local politicians concerned about the Airport Authority’s decision regarding Calderone’s contract.
