An Albany man is accused of having a ghost gun

An Albany man was stopped by police for allegedly having a ghost gun and is not supposed to have weapons because he is a convicted felon.

An Albany man is accused of having a “ghost gun.”

Deputies stopped Tyrone T. McNeil, 33, in the area of Second Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard for a traffic violation. McNeill had a 9mm gun, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

McNeil has a 2021 conviction for weapons possession in Albany and is not allowed to own that gun.

McNeil was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was taken to Albany County Jail and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in Albany City Court.
