Albany man charged in stabbing
Albany Police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing earlier this month.
Police said Rakim Baker, 35, of Albany, stabbed a 22-year-old man in the back. The incident took place on Aug. 3 around 8:10 a.m. in the area of Quail Street and West Street.
The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Baker was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Aug. 22 in Albany City Criminal Court.
