North Albany Limerick Parade – Saturday, March 15, 2025 — 12:00PM -1:00PM

The North Albany Limerick Parade route: Kickoff noon – N. First Street west of N. Pearl Street at the North Albany American Legion Post; parade will proceed east to N. Pearl Street, then south of N. Pearl Street to Emmett Street; east on Emmett St to Broadway; North on Broadway to Wolfert Avenue in the Village of Menands; back south on S. Pearl Street to N. First Street

Road Closures: Saturday, March 15, 2025 — 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

  • N. First Street between Broadway and Van Rensselaer Avenue
  • N. Pearl Street between Wolfert Avenue and Emmett Street
  • Broadway between Wolfert Avenue and Emmett Street
  • N. Second Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
  • N. Third Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
  • Lawn Avenue, westbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
  • Bonheim Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
  • Lindbergh Avenue, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street:

Road Closures: Saturday, March 15, 2025, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

  • N First Street, both sides from VanRensselaer Boulveard to Broadway
  • N Pearl St, both sides from Emmett Street to Wolfert Avenye (Menands Line)
  • Emmett St both sides from N Pearl Street to Broadway
  • Broadway both sides from Emmett Street to Wolfert Avenue (Menands Line)

Albany St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Saturday, March 15, 2025 — 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Road Closures:

  • Parade Staging & Lineup:
    • Beginning Saturday, March 15 at 8 a.m., Central Avenue between Quail Street and Lexington Avenue will be closed for parade lineup.
    • Beginning Saturday, March 15 at 9 a.m., the Parade Route will be closed to ALL Traffic. The entire parade route will be closed allowing APD to secure the route and assure step off at 2:00PM. Henry Johnson Boulevard and Lark Street northbound and southbound will remain open to traffic until 12:30 p.m. At 12:30 p.m. these two roadways will be closed and the entire parade route will remain closed until the completion of the parade.
      • The parade will require the following road closures: Central Avenue from Quail Street east to Washington Avenue; Washington Avenue from Central Avenue east to Washington Avenue/Eagle Street/State Street; State Street from Washington Avenue/Eagle Street east to Broadway. In addition, ALL cross streets along the parade route will be closed in preparation for parade kick off. This will include Eagle Street as well as N&S Pearl Streets from Pine Street to Hudson Avenue.

Parade Route: Saturday, March 15 at 2:00PM Parade Step Off: Central Avenue starting at Lexington Avenue, parade will proceed east on Central Avenue to Washington Avenue; then east on Washington Avenue to State Street; east on State Street to approximately opposite James Street.

Parking Restrictions:

Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:00AM until Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 6:00PM

  • Central Avenue, Parking Lot #4 (Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue) all areas of this lot will be restricted

  • Central Avenue, both sides from Quail Street to Lark St; 6AM-4PM (parade formation)
  • Quail Street, both sides from Bradford St to Sherman St; 6AM-4PM (parade formation)
  • N Lake Avenue, both sides from Bradford St to Sherman St; 6AM-4PM (parade formation)
  • Robin Street, both sides from Bradford St to Sherman St; 6AM-4PM (parade formation)
  • Lexington Avenue, both sides from Bradford St to Sherman St; 6AM-4PM (parade formation)
  • Washington Ave, both sides from Lark Street to State Street; 6AM-4PM
  • Eagle Street, both sides side from State St to Pine St; 6AM – 4PM (parade route)
  • State Street, North and South sides from Lark St east 3 spaces on each side 6AM-4PM (turn radius for large class vehicles)
  • State Street, North and South sides from S. Swan St east to Plaza Road east of Legislative Office Building 6AM-4PM (buses)
  • State Street, both sides from Eagle Street to Broadway; 6AM -4PM (parade route)
  • Broadway, East and West sides from Pine Street to Hudson Avenue, 6AM – 4PM (congestion mitigation area)
  • Green Street both sides from State St to Madison Avenue, 6AM-4PM (parade disbursement route)
  • Dallius Street, both sides from Hudson Ave to Division St, 6AM-4PM (parade disbursement area)
  • S. Swan Street, east side from Madison Ave to Washington Ave 6AM-4PM (upper roadway)
