Powerlifters from across the world are coming to Albany this weekend.

The inaugural USA Powerlifting Open World Cup is taking place at the Albany Capital Center.

Competitors from 22 states and three countries are looking to set national and world records and qualify for national level competitions.

They will compete in squatting, bench press, and deadlift.

You can enjoy the action starting 8 a.m. Saturday morning for a $20 entry fee.

The event runs through Sunday.
