Albany city leaders are to fix a water main break in the 48-inch transmission main in Tivoli Preserve, connecting to the Loudonville Reservoir.

The Albany Water Department is closing valves to isolate the break.

While they don’t expect the repair to interrupt water service for residents, they can expect to see some discolored water in parts of the system where the direction of flow in the pipe changes.
