Amsterdam woman accused of welfare fraud

An Amsterdam woman is accused of welfare fraud.

Blanca Maldonado, 32, did not report all people residing in the household and all income received, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

Maldonado was charged with welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing. She was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court at a later date.
