Cause of Ballston house fire still under investigation
The cause of a house fire in the town of Ballston on Sunday remains under investigation.
The call came around 4:50 p.m. on Sunday. Smoke was coming from the front of the structure at 531 Devils Lane.
No one was home at the time, according to Assistant Fire Chief Chris Altieri.
It took about 40 minutes to get it under control.
There were no reports of injuries.
The two residents were able to retrieve personal items, Altieri said.
The Ballston Lake and Harmony Corners fire departments helped at the scene. Charlton, Rexford and Jonesville were on standby.
