The German Shepard had a major medical event while on the way to a veterinarian hospital on Wednesday evening, the sheriff’s office said.
He began serving with Patrol Tracking and Narcotics Detection in 2019 and worked with Deputy Rob Whipple. He had been living with Whipple’s family since retirement.
