Bennington contractor sentenced to work crew after admitting to fraud

A Bennington contractor who admitted to defrauding a victim has been sentenced to being part of a work crew with the Department of Corrections.

Todd Merrow, 48, had pleaded guilty to one felony count of home improvement fraud, where the loss was over $1,000.

Merrow will be on a furlough program requiring him to perform 14 to 15 days of service.

He also must pay restitution to the victim.
