A Bennington man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop.
Elvis E. Pigott, 51, was stopped by State Police driving north on April 25 in the town of Catskill for a traffic violation. An Ulster County Sheriff's deputy and his K-9 partner Howie scanned the vehicle, and they were alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics, police said.

A search of the vehicle found around 61 grams of crack cocaine.
Pigott was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance-intent to sell,
Pigott was arraigned in Ulster Town Court and sent without bail to Ulster County Jail.
