Respiratory illnesses are on the rise as we start the new year and that is causing hospitals in Berkshire County to take precautions.
Berkshire Health systems asking people to wear masks. As of Monday, there were eight COVID admissions across Berkshire Health Systems’ three hospitals.
Doctors say the uptick in RSV is more serious, and now they’re taking steps to keep patients and staff safe.
According to The Berkshire Eagle, health officials will review virus levels on a weekly basis to determine masking requirements.
