Just in time for the beginning of Lent, Cardona’s Market is debuting a new fish sandwich.

Catholics give up meat on Fridays, so the specialty foods market with locations in Albany, Latham and Saratoga is partnering with Hot Crispy Oil Mayo for to debut the “Hot Crispy Cardona.”

It is a fresh fried cod filet with fennel coleslaw, field greens and topped with mayo on a toasted brioche bun.

The new menu item will be available at any of Cardona’s Three Capital region locations through April 17.
