Clifton Park man gets jail time for threatening person, police
A Clifton Park man was sentenced to about four months in jail for holding a person against their will and engaging in a standoff with police.
Nicholas J. Lamboy, 54, was arrested on March 4 after State Police responded to a Clifton Park residence. Lamboy was threatening a person with a knife. The victim got away and went to a nearby police station.
When troopers arrived, Lamboy was uncooperative and initially refused to leave, police said. He walked toward troopers with a rifle. He eventually put down the weapon, but resisted arrest.
Lamboy pleaded guilty in September to two counts of menacing. He also was placed on probation for five years.
