Colonie traffic stop leads to drug charges for East Greenbush man

An East Greenbush man is facing several charges after a traffic stop. David Slurff, 51, was stopped on Loudon Road in Colonie Monday evening.

An East Greenbush man is facing several charges after a traffic stop.

David Slurff, 51, was stopped on Loudon Road in Colonie Monday evening.

He had no license, and his vehicle wasn’t registered or insured, police said.

Illegal drugs were also found in Slurff’s vehicle, said police, and he had an illegal brass knuckle and brass knife on him.

Slurff then refused to take a drug test, police said.

He faces several charges, including criminal possession of a weapon and criminally using drug paraphernalia. He also faces several traffic violations.

He was released under supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
