Columbia County man gets 10 years in prison for raping teen girl

A Columbia County man is facing a decade in prison for raping a teenage girl.
Favel DeLeon Llamas, 28, of Gallatin, pleaded guilty in Columbia County Court on Wednesday to two counts of rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
DeLeon Llamas sexually assaulted the girl as early as 2023 when she was 14 years old and again in 2024, according to the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office.
Under the terms of a plea deal, DeLeon Llamas would be sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision. He also must register as a sex offender.
Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Nicholas Rohlfing oversaw prosecution of the case.
“This case involved the defendant grooming a young girl over a long period of time, which is a particularly manipulative and heinous type of sexual crime,” Rohlfing said in a statement.
DeLeon Llamas is scheduled to be sentenced on June 18. He remains in Columbia County Jail.
