Court reinstates claim over nose job photos used publicly without permission
Nearly eight years after she got a nose job, a woman is still fighting a legal battle against the local plastic surgeon who performed the surgery. According to court documents, the state appeals court is reinstating one of Vanessa Perry’s claims against Jeffrey Rockmore, who has a practice in Colonie.
Rockmore performed the nose job on Perry in June 2017, the documents read.
In 2022, Perry learned Rockmore posted before and after photos of her face online and on social media.
Those photos were posted without her permission, she said.
In her original complaint filed that year, Perry says Rockmore violated her right to privacy and violated his duty of confidentiality.
The case was dismissed by the New York State Supreme Court. However, according to court documents, the appeals court reinstated one of Perry’s claims on Thursday.
The appeals court wrote sharing the photos violated confidentiality between doctor and patient.
