The Department of Environmental Conservation conducted a planned fire at the Albany Pine Bush last week.

The burn took place on seven acres of land. The agency said these prescribed fires are an important way to manage and improve land and create a better habitat for wildlife.

There is a prescribed fire planned at Saratoga National Historical Park in the coming weeks.
