DOT crews pick up trash in Albany County as part of a blitz.
To mark Earth Week, workers from the Department of Transportation were out Wednesday morning in Albany County cleaning up the community.
This is all part of the statewide trash blitz. Workers collected and threw out litter along the sides of the roads.
The trash blitz is meant to bring awareness that littering ruins the landscape and can be a safety hazard for drivers and wildlife.
