The waterfront will stay closed until new testing finds it is safe.
Anyone who has visited the beach recently and is experiencing stomach issues should call their doctor immediately, the Great Barrington Health Department said.
Lake Mansfield Beach had just reopened to the public on July 1 after renovations.
