The Empire State Plaza ice rink is now open for the season.

The rink is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with an hour break from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday, and breaks from noon to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends.

It’s free to skate and $5 to rent skates. However, there are free skate rentals on Saturdays thanks to Hannaford.

Skate rentals require a photo ID.
