Four former ShopRite stores to reopen Friday as Market 32

Price Chopper-Market 32 is officially opening Friday in former ShopRite stores on Friday.

The stores are on Central Avenue in Albany and Central Avenue in Colonie, along with Nott Street in Niskayuna and Van Rensselaer Square in North Greenbush. They will open simultaneously at 8 a.m. with ribbon-cutting.

On both Friday and Saturday, customers at all four locations will get 5% off their grocery purchases.
The stores will also donate 5% of sales to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and youth sports programs in those communities.

As NewsChannel 13 previously reported, Price Chopper-Market 32 acquired ShopRite leases and fixtures in a real estate deal last fall, with the stores closing in November.

A former ShopRite in Slingerlands remains vacant, with no plans announced yet.
