There’s a fundraiser planned in memory of Micah Dukes, a 29-year-old Troy woman, killed in a crash in Brooklyn.

The fundraiser is Saturday, August 31, at the Italian Community Center in Troy.

Dukes was killed when police say a drunk driver hit her car while on the run from police.

The tragic crash happened in June.

Micah graduated from Hudson Valley Community College last year. She worked for Cornell Cooperative Extension and the State Comptroller’s Office.

Micah’s dad says his daughter had a huge heart and loved helping others.

Money raised at the fundraiser will help children attend camp and play sports.
