Grants to help expand free summer meal program for kids

Capital Region families will now have more options to get free summer meals for kids.

No Kid Hungry New York announced Monday over $146,000 in grants to help 11 public school districts and community organizations in rural areas provide more kids with free, nutritious meals all summer long.

Here in the Capital Region, that money will go to CAPTAIN Community Human Services in Saratoga County, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and the Hartford Central School District in Washington County.
