The Guilderland Chamber of Commerce held its third of four events corresponding with the Seasons of Guilderland initiative, The Heat is ON! Soup, Chowder, & Chili Cook Off, in January.

It raised $2,300 for the area nonprofit organizations who participated.

They include Capital District YMCA, The Caring Closet, Guilderhaven, Guilderland Center Fire Department, Guilderland Food Pantry, Night Out for You, Phil With Love Foundation, St. Catherine’s Center for Children, and Westmere Fire Department.

These funds are specifically designated for the promotion of arts, culture, and tourism.

As part of the broader Seasons of Guilderland initiative, this event is designed to promote Guilderland as a year-round destination.
