Historic theaters get grant funding
Some historic theaters in New York are getting a boost.
A total of $5 million in state money is going to 13 theaters across the state. Three Capital Region theaters are getting funding.
The Palace Theatre and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall are getting $300,000 each. Proctors will each get $968,000.
This is all part of the Alive Downtown Program.
“These are our main street and downtown corridor institutions that really fuel the vibrancy of our small town main streets and our urban cores,” said Assemblywoman Pat Fahy, D-Albany.
