Iconic Saratoga Springs bar staying open under new ownership

Rumors have been swirling about the future of the iconic Tin & Lint Bar in Saratoga Springs – perhaps most famously known as the supposed birthplace of the hit Don McLean track “American Pie.”

However, NewsChannel 13 has confirmed it is not closing up shop. It’s merely been sold.

NewsChannel 13 was first tipped to this after viewers spotted a “CLOSED UNTIL FRIDAY” sign posted on the front of the iconic Caroline Street bar earlier this week.

The bar, which is the longest running in Saratoga Springs, will be reopening Friday under the leadership of Bri Collins, a veteran Saratoga bartender.
