Investigators: Ankle monitor helped link Glens Falls man to gunpoint robberies

An electronic monitoring device helped convict a Glens Falls man of three gunpoint robberies from January 2023.

Joshua M. Heym, 28, was found guilty Friday of three felony charges after a nine-day jury trial.

Heym pointed a black handgun at victims to rob them in Glens Falls on three occasions from Jan. 10 to Jan 12, 2023. He got away with a small amount of cash during each robbery, the Warren County District Attorney’s Office said.

Heym was wearing a mask to hide his face, but because he was on parole for a prior felony conviction, he was wearing an ankle monitor that tracked his movements.

Heym faces up to 15 years in prison when sentenced on July 31.
