A 27-acre property in Hague is now permanently protected.
The Lake George Land Conservancy protected what’s known as the Forest Friends Mile.
The property stretches one mile along State Route 9N from Forest Bay on the northern end of the lake to the south end of Friends Point.
The Forest Friends Mile protects the water quality and the scenic beauty of the area.
The land will not be open to the public for recreation or hunting.
