Lark Street welcomes two new businesses

Two ribbon-cutting ceremonies set for Lark Street

Two ribbon-cutting ceremonies set for Lark Street businesses - Larkin Hi-Fi and New Scotland Spirits Tasting Room.

There will be ribbon-cutting ceremonies Friday for two new businesses on Lark Street in Albany.

At 5 p.m., the doors will officially open at the Larkin Hi-Fi – a vinyl record lounge serving cocktails, local beers, appetizers and sandwiches. It is the former home of Larkin Restaurant.

Then, at 6:30 p.m., the New Scotland Spirits Tasting Room will open up. The business is located at the corner of Lark and State streets. It features eight varieties of whiskey and vodka that are distilled in the Capital Region and made from grains grown exclusively in New York State.

The two ceremonies will help kick off the weekend of the Art on Lark Festival.
