Duncan’s Dairy Bar in Brunswick is officially enrolled in the state’s Historic Business Preservation Registry.
The honor recognizes businesses that have been in operation for at least 50 years and have contributed to their community’s history.
The business originally opened as an ice cream parlor back in 1939.
It now operates as a full-service diner on Hoosick Road.
“It just takes a lot of dedication, a lot of dedicated employees, dedicated customers. It just takes a dedicated town to back it,” said Duncan’s owner John Squadrito.
