Work will begin on Schenectady City Hall’s clock tower, starting Monday.

Rehabilitation work on this historic tower will be done by Mid-State Industries.

The clock tower has gone through a lot of wear and tear over the years, including a fire that broke out while undergoing renovations in the 1980s.

Restoration work begins March 31 and is expected to continue through July.

This restoration project ensures that future generations will continue to enjoy this landmark, according to Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy.
