Mechanicville man admits to violating protection order

A Mechanicville man has admitted to violating an order of protection.

Richard M. Bartis, 37, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court on Thursday to criminal contempt. Bartis was arrested in the summer after an incident on Aug. 12 in Halfmoon Town Park. He was in violation of an order of protection for the second time in two months.

Bartis is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 18.
