New Albany project to reduce sewer overflow completed

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan is partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency to open the new Beaver Creek Clean River Project.

Work was focused on improving water quality in the creek and Hudson River.

Crews reduced sewer overflow into the water by adding new lines in Lincoln Park.

Sheehan has called this $55 million project “one of the most environmentally impactful projects not just in the City of Albany, but in the Capital Region.”
